Default low 14's high 13's? whats your setup?

hey guys, i've got a '98 ex with jrsc (w/ boost upgrade runnin 9lbs, came with plugs, fuel pump, boost timing retarder, belts, crank pulley) stillen fuel pressure riser, stillen 4-1 headers, dc sport ram air intake, greddy super extreme catbackexhaust (old version of evo system), apexi v-afc.

now a couple months ago when i was running 6lbs, stock fuel pump, stock plugs, no v-afc, etc i could only get a disappointing 16.1 at the track (first time ever going). what i was wondering is whether anyone is running close to this setup and what your getting, and what i'll take for me to get low 14's with no bottle and stock internals. hell even high 14's would be nice.

later on

I'd estimate high 14's for your setup.

I have a pretty elaborate setup on my d16z6 motor and i am only able to pull a 15.9 at 90mph, and i really cant launch especially with street tires. i would bet you would be running low to mid 14's. my buddy with a turbo on his sohc motor running 7lbs of boost and modded fuel system and ignition was able to pull a 14.4 with a gutted interior and "stock 185/65/14 steelies" its all in the launch and i cant get it, some people can.

Default awesome

i think it'll just take practice more than anything. its different that on the street. i have to admit i like street better. but you got to love the traction on a track. our team is doing down sometime in the next few weeks. hopefully i'll be able to make it and have some good times to post. hmm my clutch is getting weak, i need to upgrade to an act hd-ss pretty soon. maybe i should go to the
drags with the old clutch, i dont think the new would be worn in yet, and i'll just squeeze the last beating out of the old clutch before i swap it out.

ya i agree the street is a whole different ballgame which i thuroughly enjoy on a day to day basis. and going to the track is like driving where my tires dont spin and just jump, my friends who i could otherwise smoke on the street cream me at the track. whatever im on the street more than the track so it really doesnt bother me

good call, i got to the track the other night and with a little practice and finding my best launch point (3500rpm) i was able to get into the low 15's (a full second faster than when i was running 6psi).

so i'm thinking with a new clutch, v-afc to lean it out some (runnig to rich), and a little more practice, i should be able to hit high 14's.
