One of my buddies has a 93 camaro Z28, and he is always talking smack about hwo his car would waste mine. I have a 95 gsr, and i haven't been talking back because i truly believe that his would waste mine. He has over 300 ft/lbs torque, and 275 hp, and i have a measly 170 hp, and 129 torque. His car is stock, and mine only has an intake (more to come soon), and say if we were to take our cars down to the local drag strip and run 1/4 times or drag, whos will come out on top? His is auto, and mine is of course 5sp. My guess is that he will blow me away, but by how much?

 

hmmmm, don't know what block the 93 z28 had. I think an Lt1, regardless he will win. You'll run low 15s, maybe a high 14 if you can drive. He will run mid 14s

 

Stock auto LT1s are around low 14sec, stock gsr's hit low 15s... you do the math.

'Walk' implies a slow increase in distance between two cars (at a speed much the same as walking). The proper word would be 'rape', not 'walk'. A stock LT1 w/ a well driven 6-speed will often be in the 13.8-14.0 range. That's about 6-7 car lengths behind a stock LS1, and about 2.6 bus lengths ahead of you (2.4 bus lengths if he has an auto).

One of my proudest moments was when I was able to just barely edge out a 98 Z28 in my old supra. IMM supra (well, not too much)

why would you even want to race z28 when it is so obvious you're gonna lose. If I was you I wouldn't race anything that has more than 6 cyl.
