driving hard with turbo
i'm thinking of getting a rev-hard stage 2
and was wondering how hard can i drive it
on a regular basis.
in the faq on thw rev hard site they said
i can damage stock internals like piston
and rods
if so wat piston and rod with oem spec
but stronger/more durable to boost.
gonna b boosting 5-7 psi
and with tat boost level will the wall
warp on me
i want to get everything secure so
i don't run into problems.

at 5-7 Psig (tuned right) you can run the car as hard as you are used to running it. I've had mine turboed for almost 3 years without dyno tuning and have driven it very hard for the entire time and she still purrs like a kitten, BTW I also drag race the car quite a bit.
I recommend that you tune the car on a dyno though for maximum results.

the place tat i plan on getting my turbo
they suggested getting a drag kit instead
of revhard.
so i'll b getting a drag kit instead.
by summer i hope.
i remember one of the polls saying u have to
trim away a small piece of yur block to fit the
turbo.
is there a way i can get the kit so it is angle out
so tat i don't have to trim anything.

I personally try to shy people away from drag. the manifolds tend to let boost creep and that is not good on a high comp motor.
go rev hard or call inline pro and talk to them about a kit. they can build you anything you want. stan and brian are both great guys and put out a A1 Product.
If you want our shop to build you something send me a PM or hit me up on AIM@ ITR41

I had a Rev Hard kit on my car and it was great... I've had experiance with both the RH and DRAG kits and the drag's manifold allowed boost creap like ITR41 stated... Can't go wrong with a RH Stage 2C kit...
My recommendation is start low on boost (ie. 4-6psi) for the time being until you experiance it and get to know what everything sounds like... example detonation, etc... read up and research the topic and then some... before you start adding more boost... Boost is VERY ADDICTING so you gotta be careful with what you're doing...

i forgot the name of the place but they
said revhard and fmax were alike
and were not a good kit
but i'm still interested in the revhard kit
tat was my original choice getting a RH kit
wat exactly is a boost creep?
and wat is the real difference between the
REV, DRAG, and any other kit the other people
may suggest.
i'm located in central mass. if anyone knows
a place where i can talk to about RH or Drag.

boost creep is that the wastegate can't releive enough boost presure so you just keep building boost past the target boost you have the wastegate at....say you want 7psi it might creep to 10 or so witha drag mani.
Well if that company is stirring you that way chances are they aren't a dealer for RV that’s why they are pushing you onto the drag kit. I have done allot of searching in my "do a search for turbo" days and man no one really likes the drag. I'm using the Rev hard mani on my kit. Like JAN said don't just take a company's word for it. You can't recall there name that right there is not a good start to begin with.
this is y i love this site
thanx for the replies
i'll b going for RH
n e one noe of a place around
central mass tat sell/intall turbo
i want sum one who has real exp
not jus sum one who did once and
consider him/herself a pro at it
