Default ball joints...

need some help, this chiltons is useless.

is the link for where the steering connects to the hub/suspension/wheel on the front a ball joint? If so, when i try to remove the bolt the ball joint just spins and spins. At first i thought it was broke, but then i realized its a ball joint. How do you get a nut off of a ball joint if the nut is frozen?

indeed i did. the castle nut is firmly rusted onto the joint as with every other mother****ing bolt on that car...

upper ball joints took me 3hours/ea to free up, (chiltons told me i couldnt?)

anyway, the bottom steering linkage, i just wanted to make sure it was supposed to spin, and that the bolt wasn't loose or broken.

Mine spun a little, but I could still get it off. Spray that nut nasty with wd40 or Valvoline penetrating lubricant(hehe).

Why you roll your eyes? Valvoline claims that it is better than wd40. A new castle nut costs $3-4
