I'm not exactly sure how high it is off the ground but there is about a finger gap between the fenderwell and the tire. As for the large bumps and whatnot, that's pretty much a hassle for me because I have to think about where I go and how I get there. But I'm so used to it (it's routine now) on where I go, that it doesn't bother me.
