I have a 97R that is bone stock. I purchased a DC JDM Type R header, JG Edelbrock VictorX intake manifold, AEM CAI, AEM bypass valve. Nothing is on yet.

My question is What kind of money if any am I looking at for the proper tuning? And what kind of mods can I do that will give me the biggest bang for the buck?

I drag the car about once a week.

thanks for any input..

Well, proper tunning is a relative term. From the sounds of it, wihtout some sort of adjustable fuel controller, or cam gears, you don't have anything to tune..... But the average tunning session runs about 80-120 an hour, with most simple fuel computers taking about an hour or two, and more complex standalones taking up to five or six.

As far as mods to maximize performance, Cams including the rest of the valve train is a good performance mod assuming you plan to stay all motor, and higher compression is also a good one, usually acheived by getting higher compression pistons.....
