Default scammed question

i recently got scammed and have a question. I had a money order sent out to pay for a ps2 on this forum, he unfortunately scammed me and is now ignoring everything i sent him. So, since i paid by a postal money order, is there any way to get the money back? Even if he cashed it? I have not checked tos ee if he did or not, but I still have the receipt. If I can't obtain my money that way, can I call the local sherriff and file a report? Even if he is on the other side of the country? LMK wassup as I hate being scammed.

wel, did you get his address? cuz you need his address to send the money order right? i say post the address on here so that everyone is aware of the scammer or maybe get his money back. you can report to irs for scamming or something. i forgot but i know the post office has something like this also.

no it was not through ebay. it was through this forum. I guess I will go to my local post office and ask them what can happen. The IRS does this too? I dont know if they can solve a case like this. They have other stufff that they're too busy with. Well i e-mailed this guy and will give him until tonight to respond. If not, his address will be posted throughout the entire internet along with his name. Thanks for your help guys.

actually if the money order is through USPS and you did send it by snail mail, this is a federal crime and you can call your FBI office.
