Default dome light output (-)

92 accord dx

im installing an alarm and cant figure out which wire to use for the dome light output. from what i gather i use the blue/red wire at the headlight switch but i cant find it. there are 2 or 3 red wires with blue stripes and a solid blue from what i can tell. if im in the right place which pin should the wire be in? thanks for any help.

you're looking for a black/white wire that is in a brown connector just above interior fuse panel. You might have to temporarily become a monkey to find and get to the wire.

also i have another shock sensor i'd like to add if possible. it has 3 wires(black, i assume is the ground, green and red) whereas the one i already have hooked up has 4 (black red white and blue). is it possible to just pick two wires and tie them together and ground it or does it have to be specific? if it's even possible. im also still looking for the dome light wire.

that wire goes from a control module, to the dome light... it is grounded when a door is open, and if you ground it, it will turn the dome light on. Same wire for both connections.

Why do you want to change shock sensors? It sounds like the new one you have is a single stage sensor, and the one already there is a dual stage. If you want to change them, figure out which wire is which before you go connecting anything together. I suggest you stick with the sensor thats there.

i decided to not worry with the dome light anymore. i'm wondering though what wire in the trunk should i tap as a negative trigger when the light comes on?

there is a green connector below the brown one I was talking about before... it will have a green w/black stripe wire... its a negative signal from the trunk.
