Default Soo I might be selling my 'lude, have a question...

This guy at work offered to by my car today and I wanted to ask the residents of this board if I was being fair with my deal.

95 Si (non-Vtec) 5 spd.
Does have a damage disclosure but they were cosmetic only. Structurally sound
Nada LOW BOOK 5500.
KBB FAIR BOOK 4830
I am asking 3750
also I just replaced the timing belts a week ago and have 102K miles on it.
Has very light body damage on it and he already said that was ok.
So am I being fair?

I totally agree with you but I am trying to make a deal he would be stupid not to do cuz I really need to get rid of this car so I can get a vehicle more fitting of a father with a 3 year old girl. Ya dig?

(epiphany: I should swing by a dealer and see what they would give me on trade in...)

You're letting it go for mad cheap. I would say a fair deal on that car is about $4400.

Oh and Edmunds says trade in value is just about what you're asking for.

With the T-Belt already swapped, it'd sell [in NorCal] in the high $4K's at least.
I'd try to at least make some money on it. :dunno:

My 2 ¥.

I see what your saying. I am kind of in the same boat myself, as for selling one of my vehicles. h: But in all honesty, selling the car below low book is more than fair. My suggestion would be to tell the buyer that you will sell it to him for low book. The buyer if he is smart will take it, no questions asked.

you should seriously look up your local newspaper and autotrader and see what they are going for in that same condition. just beat the average price you see by like 3-400 and thats fair IMO
