Default problem once again

Driving to skool this morning and its raining so im going down the road and I go to turn my parking lights on. After I do that it kills all the gauges, lights, cd player and everything. Then the car starts to hesitate on the throttle really bad. So I pull over and sit while the car is idleing to where its about to die. I sit there for a couple minutes then it finally dies. After that I turn the switch off. Then I turn it forward again and I get nothing, just a moaning sound

It sounds like an alternator problem.

Maybe you'd be better off asking which wheels look better on your car or how you can make XXXwhp.

To tell you the truth you might have a wiring probelm:happysad: since it happened in the rain. Do you have any exposed wires or anything? I would take a look at all of the wiring just to eliminate that as the source of the problem.

I had some wires that were exposed before, but those were rapped in electrical tape. The car seems to run fine when you jump it off, it just cuts off after a certain period of time

Ok my book says this as possible probelms:

Enine Stalls-

1.Fuel filter clogged and/or water and impurities in the fuel system
2.Distributor components damp or damaged
3.Faulty emissions system components
4.Faulty spark plugs or incorrect gap
5.Faulty plug wires
6.Vacuum leak in the fuel injection system, intake manifold or vacuum hoses

I remember you saying something about not having your o2 sensor wired up, if this is the case them it could be that. If its not that them I would put my money on either a bad distributor or alternator.

Hope this helps some

Yeah from what ive gathered so far im pretty sure its gonna be the altenator cause everything ran fine before even tho I was gettin the O2 sensor code. I went and had the battery checked and if im right I think the guy said the battery was only puttin out 11 amps or volts, somethin like that

Thanks for the help tho

Yeah might be either your batt is shot or alt . B4 you get a new batt get the alt checked out to see if its putting out enough power . Then take it from there .

Read the post above. The alternator has been check and isn't putting out enough power. :a:

They're supposed to pull it off tomorrow and go have it fixed or replaced.
