CV Shaft
hi, i have a 97 civic sedan, my cv boots cracks opened and i need to replace the whole shaft, does it matter what brand i get or should i go back to honda, cause i have a friend that can get me a shaft with lifetime warrenty on it.
thx
thx
If you can get a lifetime, go for it. Or else, if you can take it out, you can probably take it to Honda and have them put a new boot on it, repack it, and put it back in yourself for about the price of an aftermarket one. That's if you don't want to do it yourself.
Just because the boot is torn, doesn't mean it's junk. Unless it's been torn for a long time, then it may be junk.
