bust the dough and go with comptech :naughty: . My friend has a comptech axleback on his accord and it is so badass! he may sell it to me when he sells his car and custom welding will ensue  Anyway comptech is about the best sounding exhaust i have ever heard. It sounds agressive while on the gas, but not to loud. While at idle or constant rpm, it sounds stock. anyway, just my opinion but thats what I would do. And by the way I am a high school senior so I am just as poor. I would bust the cash anyway. Its that nice.

get a magnaflow catback....very nice system deep tone at low rpm and not too loud at high rpm but just lets people know you're around....hottexhaust.com sells them for cheap just around 300 and they have 2.25" mandrel bent stainless steel piping and a straight through muffler with about a 4 inch tip

I gotta show this off since it just came by UPS yesterday. This is an Apexi N1 3" cat-back exhaust for AWD DSM. $540 shipped. I've seen it some places for $690. Now compare that to the Magnaflow setup for $300...

Magnaflow: No coating, 1 less resonator, 0.75" smaller piping. A LOT more BeNdS in the mid-pipe.

but... both mandrel bent... stainless steel... Bolt-on install... Doooood. That's like half-off for a N-1 look-alike that carries a Magnaflow warranty.

I need to replace everything from the manifold-back, so I think Ima hold on to teh hottexhaust link myself. That's a good deal.

Thanks Joe Pannone.

magnaflow makes two different exhausts for hondas, race and street. The street has a resonator and muffler, the race just has a muffler. Its one of the few exhausts out there with decent dyno-documented power gains. I stand by the quality of magnaflow, just not the styling :ugh: I dunno about your DSM though. Congrats on the purchase

:edit: straight piping is one of the major design parameters for the N1. Any street-style exhaust system will have more bends than an N1  BTW have you seen the rs*r exmag (the fancy one, not the black one)?

its like this ________/ only one bend in the whole damn thing

Yep! Teh RS*R is balls. I've always liked it...

As for the Magnaflow, their reputation preceeds them. They have a damn good product. If you buy one, get the "street" cat-back. Resonators are a good thing. You'll be glad you did after a multi-hour road trip. Trust me.

What I really like about the Apexi N1 over the N1 knockoffs is the 2 resonators. I tried to get a shot down the mid-pipe to show them off, but you can barely see the second one. The honeycombed part is in 2 different bends of the mid-pipe... I don't know of any other "knockoff" brand N1 that does that. That's why the Apexi N1 is one of the quietest 3" exhausts. I can't wait to bolt all this crap together and use it.

I'm a :whore: I know... sorry.
