ok if people didnt read this in the mazdaspeed vs the prelude here's my story of beating one in a 99' civic Si. well my friends from illinois came down to visit and we decided to go out and have some fun. well we go looking around and then as we are headin home we see the mazdaspeed protoge fly past us. so we decide to follow him for a sec. at the stoplight ahead he just fly's down the road thinkin he's cool in his car. so we just catch up to him he next stoplight with 2 cars ahead of us. we look over to the left of him and he looks back and revs but doesnt rev it hard. well the light turns green and we just redline it in 1st and we hear his turbo. we saw his gauges but couldnt tell because they were too small. anyways after he speeds up and lets the cars go ahead of us a bit. we just come up next to him and let go of the gas and stick it in 2nd to where he doesnt kno. he just stares at us then we just punch it. and from the start to end we just pull on him. it's wasnt a full 1/4 mile race but but still got ahead of him to switch lanes in front of him so we could hit the SUV in front of us. it was one of the best races i've seen with the Si so far

for some people who are wondering. the SI has only a cat back exaust and stock enine but a dam well good driver. and we had a full car load with 4 people in ours and he ahd only 2. but the mazda had a good driver as well as well.

people down here i kno say that he's a pretty good driver. he's the only person here with a mazda speed6 and he has raced some of my friends i kno. but they have pretty slow cars so i dunno. im just going with wat the racers down here say

i'm with ludeboom, those mazda speeds run like a 15.8 at best stock... a stock si should run 15.8 if not better stock.
