I recommend the 10w3v2. I have one in my trunk in a ported box, powered by a JL 250/1 and it sounds beautiful.

Eric Halloway (sp? - sorry) for Car Audio and Electronics just reviewed the 12w6v2 and called it the best sounding woofer he's ever reviewed for the magazine....keep in mind a few short months earlier he reviewed the 10W7

that should be some food for though...I'd go W6 if it absolutely had to be a JL.

How much are you looking to spend? What kinda of amp are you gonna be using? Is box size a concern if you go ported?

exactly...these varibles play a big part in choosing a speaker, since the differences in a w3 and w7 are well, kinda huge.

I have 2 10w3v2's powered by a Rockford Fosgate Power 451s amp.

I LOVE THEM!! Nice, clean, and tight.

I have one 10w3v2 in a slot ported bandpass box in my legend. Sounds like a 12. Plenty loud enough. If you want tighter bass, use a sealed enclosure.

w3v2s sound clean, punchy. w6v2s sound a little muddled to me. i'm in love with my 12w7. its in a sealed box (to JL spec) and is just beautiful.
