Default Having trouble with this... Person from another culture?

What questions would be interesting to ask about his/her daily life, routine, etc.... just how it may differ from how you personally live/the country runs  ?

Im suppose to get 50 q's... but i think thats way too many.

anyone comment?

Ask about language
Ask about ethnic foods
Ask about any rituals they have

are you asking for general questions, or do you have a culture or ethnicity in mind?

-holidays they celebrate
-rituals?
-do they celebrate american "holidays"
-what do they think of the "american culture"
-their views on the american educational system
:dunno:

Eating habits are a good place to start. I know many of my friends questioned why my family ate dinner between 3-5 instead of later in the eavning. And we have supper that friends were confused about. Where is this person from.

my gf is indian and we've been together for over a year and i still ask her questions about her culture. it helps to have a specific culture to ask about though. here are some examples:

do you have hotdogs there?
whats your drinking age there?
do people there watch american movies?
what are cars like there?
do people there make fun of americans?
do people there make fun of George W?
what kind of sports are popular there?

the questions ive asked my gf lately are like this:

are the cows friendly?
do you like to ride on the elephants?
how much does it usually cost to bribe a cop?
oh ya, and do the elephants ever go crazy and start stomping on people? :chuckles:

in my mind, she really really likes elephants :wiggle:
