Might also depends if your car is dropped. I'm still trying to find the consensus on whether 16" with 45profile will rub on a 2" drop... anyone to verify? I know the 40's wont but Curious about the 45's

That is a huge freakin' tire. My 205-50/15's rubbed, those probably won't even rotate :chuckles:.

That's wrong. Any car that came with 60 series 14" wheel should be using a 40 series on a 16" wheel. I had 45's though and they filled the wheel wells MUCH better. I hate the look of cars that are "under tired."

I had 205-45/15's with a 1.5"-2" drop, offset of 45 (I think) and did not rub. All depends on the wheels and brand of tire. I was running Dunlop SP Sport W-10's on Enkei RPO II's. Excelent tire BTW. Even with the tires almost bald I had great traction EVEN in the rain!

Right now I have 195-55/15's on Civic SI wheels. I SHOULD be running 50 series, but it just doesn't look right IMO. Not enough tire.

Cars like the del Sol! :chuckles:

I hate that too, which is why when I get my new rims, I'll be wrapping them in 205/55R15's.

I had 45's, but on a 16" wheel.
