Is the shift linkage supposed to have a boot? Not the one on the middle console...under that.. this is on a 98 civic

But it sounds like a torque converter problem to me. Only does it in gear?

lol, fair enough.
There is one boot on the end that has the pin that goes into the tranny, and then there is one boot that goes around the shifter at the floor pan, and one more underneith that. :thumbup:

hehe.. its all good.... So if i only have the shift linkage boots that is on the middle console thing would i need to grease up the end of the shift linkage before i put on a boot? would it matter?
