Default 97 CIVIC DX Turbo Project Questions

I am getting ready to put a Garrett T3 turrbo on my DX. This car has the D16Y7 engine as the dealer tells me. I have got most of it figured out But information is sketchy on the Computer, ECU, MAP Sensor and what need to be done with these. Also what about changing injectors. Can someone please enlighten me on what needs to be addressed with these things? Thanks - Scott

I wouldn't boost that motor with that turbo. It's too big.

You won't be able to push enough pressure out to spool the turbo quickly.

I have 2 friends (in this example), one with a DRAG3 (T3/T4) turbo on his D16Y8, and the other with a Greddy 15g on his D16Y8. The guy with the 15g beats the guy with the DRAG kit because it is too big for the motor.

I don't recommend that large of a turbo on that small of a motor.

If you get a Greddy 15g or 19T kit, it's all bolt up and comes with the Emanage and aluminum piping.

PM SleeperCivicEX for advice and pricing.

Ok! Thanks for the help. I did some looking for the Greddy but it looks like there are a lot mor Garrett turbos on the market. Is there a smaller Garrett turbo I can look at putting on the DX?
