Please Help this Honda/Acura Newbie out
I posted this over at honda-tech.com an got nothing but flames an shit.
This time im gonna make it short an to the point.
I have a 2001 Celica I have invested ALOT of money into. I am just going to show the car and at the end of last summer i bought a 92 LS.
BUT now the itch has started with this car. And my high ass has thought of many ideas for this project.
First is gonna be the engine...this is what i want to do, just tell me what do you think would be the best swap and what would have the most aftermarket.
C30A from an NSX (is this possible?)
F20C from an S200 (is this possible, not scared of the $$ for rwd conversion)
when i posted this over at honda-tech i got NOTHING usefull cept one guy said that the H22 is the biggest that will fit.
since both of them wont fit, now the question is:
what to get?H22A or a B18C1
all help is appreciated
Thanks
Lark

If you have that kind of money, I'd drop the 92 LS and pick up something like a Type R, or forget them both and get a FD... both of those would garnish more respect and be more responsive to mods than a 92 LS
The B18C1 would be the easier swap, and there are more performance parts available. The H22 is a really tight fit, and (correct me if I'm wrong) I believe you wouldn't be able to run A/C and Power Steering, if that matters.
However, the torque from the extra .4 liters of displacement in the H22 can really be felt, judging from my limited experience in a h22 powered hatch compared to a b18c hatch (both N/A). It had down-low grunt that I've never felt from a B-series.
On second thought, go with the NSX engine. That would be hot!

I saw a CRX a long time back that had an NSX engine in it. What they did was make it a mid-engine car with RWD. The engine was actually placed behind the front seats and in front of the rear axles. It ran.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.

.... i have noticed there is ALOT of parts for this.
