Default Ecu problem help

can anyone tel me where the ecu check light is i looked under the carpet where my other hondas are but it seems to be on the left is that the ecu but i couldnt find the light

The light is the one in your instrument cluster. After you bridge the thing on the ECU, the light in your guage cluster will blink, AKA "Check Engine Light, or CEL.

It will display a numeric code. That is your problem code for troubleshooting. You need a good conducting metal such as brass or something. There are all sorts of cheap wires you can get to complete the circuit.

right above the ecu, there is a green cap that houses 2 plugs. You want to pull out the one with only two wires on it. Then put a paperclip in to bridge the two sides, turn the key to "on" but you don't have to start it, then it's the same as any other honda. Sounds like you're used to 4th gens.
