Sell them for two Adire Brahma and that's different.

 

The question you should ask yourself is....what change do you want to make:

1. Are you changing just for the sake of change?
2. Do you want more sq/SPL?
3. More/less trunk space?
4 Difference in $$

ETC....

decide what it is you want, then after you set criteria for the decision, it can be made....not to sound over-analytical, but your question really can't be answered.

If it was me, I'd keep the JL's....or buy two IDMAX's

 

I used to have 2 10" JL W3's and it seems like it was louder than my 3 W6's. I heard this guy playing his system loud and when I asked him he said he's got 2 12" Kicker SoloBarics using an El Cheapo amp while I am runing my subs with a Phoenix Gold ZX600ti. I bought my subs used about a year ago for $350 and selling them for the same price while the Kickers are new for $400. I really want to get W7's but the damn subs(s) are way to priceyfor me. As for the trunk space, I'm not gaining any space since I mounted my amps right on the floor.

the solo's will need a mmuch bigger box. they will be louder tho.

anwyay, you can basically buy 2 12A's from eD for the price of 1 13 w7 and it will slump the shit out of the w7 and sound IMO better. you can get an XXX 15 for 400 or so bucks from RE and it will desimate the w7 also. the brahma's are pretty much like the eD A series, as is the Magnum D2 from stereointegrity.
i'm not a JL hater, they make quality products.
i just think there is better for the money, and better period.

 

I'm not sure that there is anything out there that "descimates" a W7...

something better, perhaps - but descimate? maybe someone's taking things a bit too far? (everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course )
