Default 2000 GSR *9800.00 in dmg* =(

Well this actually happend at the end of november, someone did an illegal U-turn on the highway and ended up turning into me. It was a Blazer that did the dmg....

I got 9800.00 worth of dmg, but the bodyshop told me that it is all cosmetic. Luckly no engine dmg... or alignment issues. Also there was no dmg to the frame, just all the panels down the passenger side and a broken passenger window. I only have 15,089 miles on the car. I baby the shiit out of it. Then some tool decides to be smooth and takes it all away. Its been about 1.5 months now. I should have it back anyday.

Do you think Im going to be able to tell that its been in this accident? I know for a fact all the parts were NEW... nothing is aftermarket. But Im afraid it wont be the car that I once had...

wow, I'm speechless. How hard did he hit you?
I was hit at about 35-40 in the side of my 90 ls, and there WAS frame damage.

At the last second I saw him out of the corner of my eye and managed to jack the car around him the best I could. So basically my car dragged down the front of his grill. Was more of a dragging impact rather then a direct impact... > < close to sneaking by..... Its was on the highway .... I was doing 55 - 60' ish .. he was at a dead stop on the side of the road and when I was about to pass him, he decided to haul off into my lane to do a U-turn around the median..

It won't look much different then it did, but no paint is the same as the factory paint, which kinda blows....and I'm sure there will be little stuff, to tell that its been in a crash

how did that happen? I would think he would have hit you on the driver's side if he pulleda U-ey.

I'm guessing if its a reputable shop and since they used all oem parts that it will look brand new. However, there is the phenomena that once a car has been in a fairly large wreck like that, it'll never feel quite the same to you, no matter how longs its been. However since you said its all cosmetic hopefully that doesn't happen.

, that is horrible bro'. I'd hate to say it, but it's never going to be the same. Just like RB said, you'll always pick it apart . Post pics when you get it back man.

it will be noticable to YOU and others that are smart enough to pick it out. But if your worried about people on the road noticing, they wont.

Make sure when you get your car back from the shop to check the space between panels and doors. Ussually there will be a slightly bigger (or smaller) gap as compared to the other side(non-accident side). its hard to notice with the naked eye, but if you measure it and then measure the other side, youll see that its not the same size.

I just love the car, and want it to still be able to hold its own. From what I can see I have no dmg within the engine bay. I really didnt get wacked to hard.. as far as being jarred. It was more being deflected off the front of his truck into a spin. About a week an a half ago my car was gutted. Seats were taken out, floor carpet, roof material... back seats pulled. Seeing it like that just hurt =(

This is a car that till this point has not ONE ding on it. I always park far away, ect ....

I cant wait to get it back... Im gonna drop like 2G's into it. Ill know more on the status Monday..
