Default Motor/Tranny Question

I have a 95 RS with 200,000km(125,000miles) and I need a new tranny. I was also thinking of doing a head swap(B16A) but my motor seems to be eating oil(about 1 quart every 2 week). Is a new GSR motor and tranny better for the money? Would a H22 cost less, i wanna improve on my current motor. I don't have too much to spend.

Thankz for any input.2004:thumbup:

at 200,000 the bearings in the tranny started to make noise. the thing started sounding like a helicopter. I live in Vancouver and I couldnt find any scrap yards that would see me a tranny. The Cheapest Deal I got was for entire engine and tranny combo. I said FuK it, and rebuilt my tranny myself. My car doesnt burn a drop of oil.

My suggestion get a combo of engine and tranny from a wrecker, GSR swap will be best. remeber the engine swap means u will need a ECU as well as most of the other accesssories.
