Default car wont stay on

i currently own a 91 integra and when i turn the car on it justs rev's once and then immediately shuts down. I figured that it could have been that something was wrong with the spark plugs or that the gas may have been clogged in the injection system so i replaced the plugs and still no go then i did my pops method of clearing the clogged fluids and left the plugs out and attempted to start the car which causes the fluid to shoot from where the spark plugs were located but nothing came out. so rignt now my father believes that it could be a fuel filter or pump. i dont know if its the real problem if anyone has an idea of what im talking about please help me out.

i had a 90 integra take and dissconnect it from the filter at the inlet hose. If it dosent come out there then it is your fuel pump or fuel relay. I just had to replace my fuel pump it sucks i smelt like gas for 2 days

Pull the fuel line off the left side of the fuel rail, have someone crank it, and if fuel gushes out with some force, your fuel pump is fine.

it sounds likely that you do have a fuel problem. BUT, unless u have a fuel pressure tester, you probably won't know for sure if it's your fuel filter that's clogged, or if it's your fuel pump.

i know that disconnecting your fuel line and looking for fuel is an easy way to seeing if the fuel pump works, but with much more advanced computer controlled cars now, a drop in fuel pressure by about 10psi (ie. from a factory spec 50psi to 40 psi) is enough to keep a car from starting and/or running. you'll still get a shot of fuel out of the hose, but it's still not enough. then there's fuel volume... which is easy enough to check...

i would say that... if you haven't replaced your fuel filter in a while, that it's a good place to start. you can also try running some fuel injector flush through your tank in case u got some carbon built up somewhere.

i was checking the car today there was very little fuel coming out so i believe that it could more likely be the fuel pump. we checked the filter and threw some pressure in2 it and it appears to be fine we attempted to start the car after and it was still shooting the same amount of gas. so me and my father came to a conclusion that it could more likely be the fuel pump. if anyone know where i can get one in NY for cheap please let me kno thnx.
