Is there any way to duplicate objects along a path? If so, how?

what do you mean?? can you explain some more.

you can duplicate objects next to eachother by holding alt and shift

you can then duplicate by doing i think control + D (it's Apple + d on the mac)

does that help any??

yup.. you can do it with any object.

Draw your shape, or make your shape (if its a default square or circle, etc)

then just take the type tool and put it on the line it creates a / should appear next to the cursor.. and then you just click.. and type away.

if you make your own shape, remember that it will be based off of where you started your shape, and how you draged your anchor points... that will dictate if the copy will go on top or below the line you just made.

make sense??

whoa wait a sec, maybe you're going at this the wrong way.
draw your shape, and then select it. go to your brush tab. and press the new button and that will make it a brush
or play around you can make it other types of brush, then when you draw with a brush or line. it will use that.
hope that helps

yea.. that will work.

the type path tool.. is only if you were trying to make type go around the object.

is this what you are trying to do?? if so, all i did was copy it (using the option key, i think its alt for th PC) and drag it until the center 'x' was over the line of the elipse

is that it??

schwanginpt:

Yeah, but with the boxes kinda sticking out, and no stroke on the ellipse.

frank from canada:

Thanks, I'll try that.
