Default Blown Fuse - "Backup Light" - unknown cause

1992 Civic LX - unmodified. Only addition was a single disc CD Player installed by Best Buy about 7 or 8 months ago.

Recently, a fuse blew labeled "Backup Light" - 10A fuse. When it blows, the entire instrument cluster goes (lights, speedometer, turn signals, etc) plus the switch to release the shifter when the brake is depressed (automatic transmission). Have to release shifter, place in neutral and start car to go anywhere. I replaced the fuse with 10A and it worked no problem.

Next day, fuse blew again. Had no 10A spare, so felt a bit risky and put in a 15A which blew later that morning, always the same one. It's POSSIBLE that each time this has happened it's when the left turn signal is engaged. I just replaced the fuse again and started car and messed with lights and turn signals but couldn't get it to blow.

Just curious if anyone has seen this odd combination and had any ideas before I take the car anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Only thing I can think of is a short in the left turn signal wiring somwhere along the lines, very hard to really narrow that down. Might also want to check the radio install, or try to have it completely off (try to take off the faceplate if applicable) and see if it happens.
