Default 96-99 Temperature Control

Alright....i just replaced the whole center bezel/climate control. The slider wire for the temp. was still fine so I hooked it back up(i know this part is correct) and all seemed fine. Went to put the heat on at night and it stayed cool. I think the back end of the wire might have gotten unhooked when they yanked the dash out. Where the hell is the other end of this? I cant see it under the dash anywhere, or under the hood. Hopefully that's all it is.

Any insight is appreciated.

also, any better shop manuals than the haynes? Was good when i was learning the car, but the more in depth stuff i'm doing doesnt get covered very well.

look under the dash by the foot wells towards the center console, the temp control cable is connected to the heater box and on that box, its sits on a latch, if it falls off the latch, u cant change the temp at all. so look for it, adjust it and put it bakk on the latch. basically, the latch holds the black temp cable, and then the middle metal cable moves the temp control.
