Default 90-93 Integra tranny question

My tranny is just about gone in my 90 Integra.. So my question is what tranny will bolt right up to my ZC engine other than the stock one? Sorry for being naive.
Thanks

Why do you have a ZC in a '90? I think you're a little confused.

If it is still the stock '90 B18A1 engine, you can bolt any B-series cable transaxle to it. This means any B16A (SiR/RSi/XSi,) B17A (GS-R) or B18A (RS/LS/LS-S/GS) transaxle.

If you really mean an '89 with the D16A1, you already have the best readily availible transaxle for it. Just replace it with the same one.

If for some reason you do have a ZC in a '90, besides the obvious question of "Why would you ever do that?" I would have to know which flavor of ZC you speak of.

Are you in Japan of Australia, by chance? Some did come stock with ZC's over there.

The IP address traces to Atlanta so I doubt he's in the Pacific.

I am confused but I believe you answered my question. It is the stock motor, but I went to the local junkyard and the guy there said I have a "ZC" engine in my 90 Integra.....I am not even close to Atlanta.

Yeah, IP traces are sketchy. I've traced one that I knew was in southeast VA and it tried to tell me the IP was California based.

No US market car came stock with a real ZC, most junkyards have never even heard of the ZC. Weird.

Yeah you have a B18A1 engine, not a ZC. The only US-market transmission that will bolt up is one out of a '90-'91 Integra.

No, they are hydros. Some conversion work is needed, so it is completely not worth the trouble.

You can only use '90-'91. The clutch is bigger on the '92-'93 so if you want to use one of thoe transmissions you need to change out the clutch parts.

Hydraulic vs. cable is just the method with which the pedal works the clutch. A '94-'01 transmission will work on the older motor but you would need to convert it to work with the cable clutch pedal which would be kind of pointless.

well if he is outside the U.S. The lower end model DA's brought the ZC engine in them.
