Default Swaps for auto 98 Ex

Just wanted to see what kind of swaps are available with a auto tranny for a 98 Ex. Just to clarify, this is for my gf's car and she does not know stick and does not want to learn. Thanks.

If she wants speed, build her a small turbo and hope it holds together or tell her to learn to dive a stick. Only auto swap I know somoene in here did was an EG ('92-'95 Civic, a '94 specifically I think) and a '94 LS Integra auto. He ended up having to use the entire Integra in-dash harness and had a nightmare of a time. Definately wasn't the easiest swap.

I was told by Mahdavimotorsports to use a 96 Teg LS engine and auto tranny. Is there a significant difference in the 2 years? I doubt there is. Also, what is the engine code for a 96 LS? Thanks in advance.

The only difference between them is
94=obd1
96=obd2
The engine code is just like any other 94+ ls teg---- b18b

A greddy turbo kit for $1400-1600, would be price comparable to a swap, completely safe, and kinda fun to drive.

Hey, Thanks for the input Phiz. We're having tranny problems right now so if the tranny needs to be replaced then I might just opt for a swap.
