i just had a debate with a friend after being asked not to say "d$mn". pretty much she just annoyed me by saying that and thats how the whole debate got started.

my thoughts are the only real "cuss" words are those using the lords name in vain because god said not to say them. all other "cuss" words were created by man and actually most of our "cuss" words are just normal words in foreign languages that man has labeled as a bad if used in the english language.

pretty much my point is even though i dont cuss very much, why should i be labeled as wrong for saying a cuss word when its man that put that label on them, not god.

anyways what i'm looking for is the origins of the typical cuss word. what languages did they originally come from. she said i didnt have a valid point because i didnt know the language they were originally from. all i knew was that the were orignally foreigh. i apologized for not memorizing this (sarcastically) but now i want to find out exactly which languages they came from. i've done some searching online but cant find anything.

so share your knowledge of the history of cuss words.

I thought fvck was an acronym for "fornication under common knowledge?" Guess not. :dunno:

 

i thought Fvck you came from Europe during one of those war times where they used arrows.. Where one side used arrows and one day the other side took out all the feathers from the arrows and made fun of the other side since they can't now shoot the arrows. They waived the feathers around and yelled "Pluck you" and since then it revolved into " Fvck You"

 

how would they have removed out the opposing armies feathers from their arrows?

 

I can't remember the whole story, it's been awhile but the summery of the story was like what I stated above, I can't remember how they removed the feathers from the arrow but that was the story, if I can remember correctly, I read it from a website that someone linked to from another forum..
