taking off rear view mirror cap

Hi,

My rear view mirror is broken and I need to replace it. How do you remove the cap that is over it? I tried a screw driver and the cap is pretty much stuck on there. Is there a certain place to unlock it?

Did you try twisting or pulling on it...? hehe.

Well if that doesnt work, then go to your local car shop and take a quick peep inside the shop manual for your car.

the book says pry the cap off with a flat tip screwdriver with a shop towel on the tip so you dont damage the cover.
then remove the srews located under the cover.
