my pros: looks nice, 5 volt preouts
my con(s): no anti-shock buffer/memory

edit: The anti-shock buffer/memory is a weak spec to look at since most manufacturers design good cd mechanisms and mount(s) to counter shock.

Based on features alone and pimpness , I would choose the Pioneer but, I forget how a Panasonic deck sounds nowadays.

i had the panasonic 983, junk. i have this now...pioneer avh-p6400cd.
