how do I use this codec to watch movie's? I DL a few movie's and need this codec inorder to watch them. in the past I have needed Divx but that is an acual player so there was no prob, but how do I use this in that player? any help would be great

 

download the codec and use the dvix player to watch it. it's that simple

hardy har har, thanks I thought I would have had to choose an application to run it with IE: run it threw Divx, but I guess all I have to do is DL it? and it should be picked up by the player?

I have teh Divx player already, almost everything on kazaa is played in divx but I need a Xvid codec inorder to get a picture. oh and Divx is by far teh best player I have used

 

Nope....you use the WinMedia player for the Xvid codec to run...at least on mine I have to because my Divx player won't recognize it for some reason.

DAMNIT!! I hate winmedia! well I'm DLing.. well more like pirating something that may be a fix, it's the real Divx player with all codec's, and a Xvid installer for Divx so either one after I scan it for viruses may work

i use the windows media player for all the videos i watch. :dunno: i just get the k-lite codec pack and i've never had to search for codecs.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It worked!! thanks for all teh help, now another question, right now I have Divx player 2.5, but I just pirated (isnt that a cool thing to say lol) a 5.1, if anyone is running this do you know the difference? is it worth to change?
