Default ? for buying a BMW

my dad is thinking bout buying a used BMW but wat he wants a package whr u buy it in germany, go over thr, drive it a bit and then they ship it bak to the US. Saw an ad in Road&Track like 6 yrs ago. Any suggestions? for model? for u BMW guys...

It's called European Delivery and BMW only does it for new cars.

What you do is buy a US-spec car here in the states, then you fly over to Germany where you pick up the car from the factory. BMW arranges for special temporary registration and I think your travel as well.

After a certain number of days you bring your car back to the port and it gets shipped to the dealer you ordered it from.

you mean arrange travel as in book flight but not pay for them right. i think part of it is that they give you a discount but then you use the money you save to pay for your flight, hotel, food, etc.

wedley2, what model is he thinking about getting?

im not sure, anyone would like to inform me on best bang for ur buk, my friend has a 330i...has a tiptronic on it so...
my dad isnt sure either, 3 series preferbly

if he is just going for the low price tell him to get a 00' 323i. if he wants decent performance tell him to find a low mileage 330i
