Factory plug wires work the best for NA, same for the plugs. Just make sure they are set to the correct gap. I only get NGK plugs, which is factory and I have never had a problem.

can i use any b series plugs and wires, or does it have to be for something specific, say a del sol vtec? i got some plugs for a 90-91 integra i think it was, and they were a little shorter than the stock b16a ones, but i don't think it made a difference.

In order for a correct seal at the spark plug and valve cover you should get the correct plug wires. B16A would be either a Del Sol DOHC VTEC or 99-00 Civic SI.
