Default **help with greddy/mitsubishi turbo**

i have a greddy turbo, which i believe is just a regular mitsu turbo. the oil feed line connecting to the top of the turbo uses a banko fitting with a bolt and two copper washers, similar to the one used for a hondas fuel filter and fuel rail.
i overtightened the bolt a while ago and it broke, and i've been driving around with something i rigged up using a different bolt, silicon gasket maker, and an o-ring. i figgure i should go back and do it right this time, but i've been having a hard time finding the part. i e-mailed greddy, and they told me that i could get the bolt where i got my kit. i went there, and they said wtf??? and called greddy. they said try autozone...but there isn't one near my house, so i tried advanced, pep boys, and fairfax auto parts, which usually has everything. where do i find this bolt???
is it interchangable with other parts?? it looks a lot like the size of the brake line stuff.

do stock mitsu turbos have this bolt?
i'm confused, help me plz!!!

i broke the bolt replacing a fuel filter on a sohc d16 and autozone doesnt have the banjo bolt for it they had some quite a few actually but none with holes in them like the one on the filter has. i ended up going to home depot and find a short bolt that fit the hole and putting an oring and teflon on it but try there or try a honda dealership they might have them

Not a chance.

The Greddy turbo kits use OEM Mitsubishi turbos for their kits. Read: Greddy doesn't make turbos, they buy them premade from Mitsubishi. In your case, you have the relatively small 15G. If you still need the banjo bolt, take a drive to your nearest Mistubishi or Dodge dealership.

Tell them you want parts off a 1990 Eagle Talon or Mitsubishi Eclipse. When they ask for engine size, tell them 2.0 liter turbo. What transmission, tell them 5-speed manual. If they ask front wheel drive or all wheel, it doesn't matter. Ask for the banjo bolt on the turbo side of the turbo oil supply line. Also ask for two new crush washers for the same bolt.

good shit

I knew we kept you DSM guys around for something. :chuckles:

If that solution is cost prohibitive, I have some other sources, but that seems to be a very good solution.
