I've seen on other boards that some have a chat app at the top of the page, or some that open in a popup. I just thought that a chat app would keep down post whoring. if we want to say something random, we can say it there.
I think the chat can be for the whole forum or just for specific sub forums.


If its too much to load, you could have it set up so you enable it in the CP and have it default to disabled so not everyone has it on?

 

This may be done if there is enough demand, however I think it doesn't really fit our needs.

i agree with spanks and nelson, it might just overload everything and make the site go down even more

 

if people wanted to just chat between themselves they can use many of the available IM programs or they can use the PM feature. I don't see any value add for this add on.
