List of Fit Mods

I say we start a thread with availability of Fit Performance Parts. As one member noted this platform has been out for almost 3-4 years in Japan and Europe so there is an aftermarket we can jump onto without having to wait as long as a complete model change.

So start posting links to sites that are developing or starting to carry products for this new product. Thanks.

These guys seem to have a few things:

http://www.aj-racing.com/catalog/home.php

The Revo sites didn't have anything, though there is a picture of a Revo Fit in one of the other threads.

Is the Fit's motor in any other Honda products, like the Civic?

no, unfortunately the L series motor is at it's first time in america...

skunk2 is now testing a couple things for it... as well as beginning to fab up a full turbo kit for it... so that should be interesting when it comes out

However, be aware that many JDM aftermarket parts for the Fit will not work with the US/Canadian-market model, mostly because of the different bumper design, changes to the L15A1 VTEC engine to meet US emission rules and the fact the US-market Fit Sport uses 195/55R15 and 205/45R16 tires (Fit/Jazz models sold elsewhere usually have 185/55R15 tires for their tire upgrades).

I expect all-new aftermarket upgrades for the US/Canadian-market Fit because our model is so different than the Fit/Jazz models sold in the rest of the world.

I believe that US version Fit is 6 inches longer than Japan version or European version

mugen is making a prototype supercharger for the us fit. it should put 30-40 horses at the wheels.

Keep your eye on weaksauce.org as they will be carrying tons of Fit products as they come out.

150hp in a 2500lb car is pretty fast

more importantly it is the powerband of torque that makes the biggest difference rather than just peak hp

16.67 lbs/hp. That's probably good for 0-60 times in the 6 second range, depending upon gearing. The Fit probably has pretty short gearing so 150hp may be good for 0-60 times in the high 5 second range. The Lotus Elise, by comparison, only has 190 hp but weights 2000lbs.

dump the yamaha built toyota engine and throw in a k20/k24 or b18c5 engine and the elise is even quicker (some company does this conversion)

that's for the auto only (and it should be low 11's high 10s)...the MT model is quicker and runs low 9 seconds...for 109hp that's pretty good

http://www.prototyperacing.com/

but the website has not been updated in a few years.

with the s/ced 300hp engine, he was quoting about 3.8seconds to 60 traction limited.

actually sun international was full of shit. it was prototype racing that did all of the work. the sun guy formed the company to sell the swap and sold a few and never paid prototype for the kit/engine/install, etc. the sun international guy was arrested way back when he was found in his apartment without a penny.

smallphobia 04-01-2007 08:29 PM

Just saw this thread about mods and the T1R(type one racing) just released the turbo kit for the Fit. Makes 150whp and comes with intercooler, pre-programmed Greddy Emanage, etc. I think T1R is AJ-racings line of parts.

Just wanted to throw this out there :)

twinring 08-03-2007 04:23 PM

HKS makes a bolt on turbo kit for the fit puts about 200ps at the wheels

ironscepter 08-04-2007 08:36 PM

lifetime HIDs are pretty sick and they have good reviews. i'd say that + tint spray and 1000 grit sand paper from shucks.

Google has a pretty nice translation service, which is free. You can find it here.
http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=EN

Then , just enter the website that you want translated, and from and to what language, and presto here is what you get.

twinring 10-08-2007 07:03 PM

the kit is 290,000 yen which is about equivelant to 3grand US.

Turboduck 10-24-2007 03:45 PM

http://catalog.dripp.net - This site might work ... it collects performance parts for all makes and models. Set the car filter to FIT, and it should only show you FIT parts.
