Maybe it's loose & slapping on the inside of the plastic cover. Take off the cover & see. NOW before it breaks.

If you see ANY kind of hairline cracks at the teeth of the belt, replace it. Turn the engine so you can inspect the belt all the way around.

How many miles on the belt? Anywhere near 90k just replace it anyway.

If they changed it at 90k you should replace it before 180k.

If they changed it at 70k you should replace it NOW.

If they didn't replace it, you're already REALLY, REALLY lucky.

It's only a few bolts to take off the covers. If I were you I'd take a good look at the belt right now.
