Oil Leak (the part?)
I have a oil leaking frop the black cap on the left side of my engine on my 94 Integra LS. It is very minor, however i took it to the shop to find out whats wrong with it. They said i need to change my oil ring and that Black cap. Does anyone know what the black cap is called? It is not the cap where you put the oil in... it is more to the left side of the engine... If anyone knows can you please let me know what it is
that little black cap is one of the cam seals. I don't know for sure, since my crx is a SOHC, but I believe on those DOHC engines, those seals are just tapped into place. They're not hard to replace, but if you've not done it before, investing in a service manual would be a good move
I have a 90 teg and just had that replaced because mine was leaking also. To do this you have to take off the valve cover and also take off the first cam bearing. Then this seal comes and and can be replaced. You would need the cam seal and a new valve cover gasket. Not very expensive and easily done yourself if you have the tools and a little know how. I do have a different year car but don't think they are different in this way. Sorry for long post and good luck.
Don't pound it back in will just come out again.

It's not in the catalog, you just have to order it by name and leave the price field blank, they will email you with the price to verify the order. The cam end plug was exactly $5.55 you could probably put that number in and they would tell you if the price changed.
