This may be a gay question
ive done a lot of stuff on my own car i.e. oil change, trans flush, radiator swap, bolt ons, valve adjustments but i have never changed a power steering belt....lol ya ya i know.
but i just need to know how to take it off properly, do i just loosen the 2 mounting bolts on the pump and swing it back enough for the belt to come off? then when i put the new belt in i put the tension amount for a new belt then let the engine run for about 5 minutes after i go from lock-to-lock with the steering wheel, then adjust the tension to used belt tension then check the belt deflection? is that how?

You loosen both mounting bolts, then you pivot the bottom of the pump toward the block to release tension on the belt. With the pump pivoted all the way toward the block, you should be able to slide the belt right out. As for tension on the new belt, if it's tight, but you can still twist it half a turn in either direction, that should be fine.
