which ODB II ECU is best for a hondata stage 2. they haven't decoded the ECU for 96-01 accords. i've heard that i can use the ECU from a teg. is this true?

No OBDII ecu can be Hondata stage 2, 3, or 4 chipped.

you have to convert to obd1, then you can use the teg ecu

how do i do the conversion? what ECU would work best if i did the conversion?

OBD II is one of the reasons AEM came out with their EMS.

To convert to OBD I to use hondata, you need to re-wire the car's engine, using only what OBD I can use, namely a single O2 sensor, knock sensor, etc; and anything that isn't used in OBD II, doesn't get hooked back up. A few companies make retro conversion harnesses I believe, though I didn't seem to have a lot of luck with the Skunk harness I had a hand in, but admit that was both an OBD retro job, and a swap.
