Default burning tons of coolant

Hey guys,
I just flushed my radiator and filled it with fresh 50/50 coolant and bled the crap outta my system, but now I seem to burning tons and tons of coolant. Any ideas what it could be, I'd hate for it to be my headgasket. Lemme list the things i noticed.

1) idles fine, but spews coolant left and right at idle.
2) No bubbles from my radiator with cap open.
3) no oil in coolant, no coolant in oil.

Yeap that's all i can think of.

Thanks guys.

Check for white smoke coming out of any part of your car.

If it's under the hood you have a cooling system leak. If it's coming out the tailpipe it's a headgasket problem.

How much coolant are you losing? Did you bleed the cooling system after the flush?

Yea all the coolant is comming outta the tailpipe, little puddles form in the tailpipe. I bled the crap outta the system, i musta let it run for a good 20 min with the radiator cap open and the heater + fan on. Man I paid good money for that stupid headgasket, didn't even last a year.... oh well back to oem for me.

oh yea, it's just a steady stream of white smoke comming outta my tail pipe.

What headgasket were you running? Did you reuse your headbolts? What torque specs did you use?

mugen headgasket, reused headbolts, but they were in good shape. The head bolts wern't stretched. The torque specs were 22 all around then 61 all around. Started in the middle and worked out etc. I did everything by the book. Safe to say with my new headgasket I will be getting new bolts...

Yeah, you're supposed to get new headbolts anytime the head comes off if you're using stock ones. Maybe you should look into some ARP studs the next time you pull the head, just for some added security. Also, I'm not sure about Mugen gaskets, but the torque spec for aftermarket gaskets is usually higher than stock ones. In other words, the manufacturer may specify a higher torque spec than your Helm's manual would for a stock gasket. Before you go out and get a new gasket and head bolts, doublecheck if Mugen has a different torque spec than stock, and retorque your headbolts. Evenif the Mugen specs are the same as stock, go ahead and retorque your headbolts anyway, and see if it helps.
