Hey, I'm pretty familiar with Honda/Acura engines but there's a couple that stick out which I don't really think I know about. Would you guys help me out? I'd like to get familiarized with the following engines:

B20B
F22A
ZC
H23A

If anybody can just fill me in on the specs of these engines I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.

 

B20B - 96-97 CRV 2.0 liter DOHC 126 hp
F22A - assorted Accord models, 2.2 liter SOHC sometimes with VTEC, 130-145 hp
ZC - never truly sold in this country. "Brown top" is 1.6 liter SOHC similar to D16A6 in 88-91 Civic/CRX Si 110 hp, "black top" is 1.6 liter DOHC 130 hp similar to D16A1 in 86-89 Integra
H23A - 92-96 Prelude Si, 2.3 liter DOHC 160 hp

 

Thanks for that info... is the B20B the same thing as the CRV Tech? I heard these engines crank out some serious horsepower! At least from what I saw on www.importbuilders.com, I understand they do a build-up of this engine...

 

CRVTEC = CRV block with a VTEC head.

CRV + VTEC = CRVVTEC
CRVVTEC - V = CRVTEC

Also referred to as a B20VTEC.

It was NOT available in any production model, you have to have it custom built.

 

h23a1 or h23a?
h23a1 is the usdm 92-96 lude engine mentioned above
h23a is the 98+ Accord SiR Wagon engine, dohc vtec, 197hp and 163ft/lbs of torque
