Default What Motor Is This

I am looking to buy this car and i need to know what motor this is it is not the stock motor i know does anyone know just by looking at it this picture what engine this is i would know if i was near the car but the guy lives like 2 hours away and i m looking to trade him its a 1994 integra ls and i am not sure on the motor though please help

Looks like a D16, engine code should be stamped on the bottom left of the block

i thought that what it was just wasn't 100% sure quick question though y would you swap a Integra LS motor out and put a D16 in its a 94 integra

do not buy that car. the guy probably blew his b18b and needed a replacement quick and cheap. or he swapped the b18b into something else and had that engine laying around. again, do not buy that car.

is this car in fl daytona beach? i seen an integra on craigslist for a 1k with a dseries in it. i couldnt believe it guy is retarded dont buy that car bro

Yeah, that's definitely a D-series you can tell by the SOHC head and downdraft throttle body.

Although it's interesting why he'd put a D16 in that car, they're a much lighter block, so if he's tuned it out it might be a fun set-up. I wouldn't knock it just because it's a D-series. That's the major complaint I have about the integra is the weight distribution, or lack thereof. Maybe his philosophy for tuning the car was to find a lighter power/drivetrain set-up and lighten the crap out of the rest of the car, then again the battery is still in the engine compartment which is one of the first things I would change.
