Barometric Sensor - Code 13
ok so my check engine light came on again on the 95 ex and i ran the code on it and the code came up with code #13 Barometric Pressure Sensor. Does anyone know where this is and how to test it.

The Barometric sensor is built into the ECM. Try substituting a good known ECU and see if the CEL goes away.
|
is there anyway to just turn it off....i bought the car from a close friend and he said that the ecu was good. I read yesterday that some guy on here had the same code and then he got a good ecu and the same code came back. any suggestions.

There is, but it is probably more expensive than just replacing the ECU.
You would have to chip it, use a ROM editor like Crome or Uberdata to import your stock maps and then disable the sensor, then burn to a chip. |
well damn..i just wanted to get the car inspected so my girlfriend can drive it....the car runs great..its just that damn code 13.

Certain years Honda used an external BARO sensor. It's not built into the ECU forever. It WAS built into the ECU in my '95 Integra, so I bet that was Hondas method for that year. I think external BARO sensors were on older cars, but maybe that's the post that you saw?

how do you tell if the baro sensor is built into the ecu on my car or not....
|
all hondas had the baro sensor built into the ecu.
|
actualy all OBD1 and OBD2 hondas have built in Barometric sensor older honda had external ones.
since your getting that code the sensor in the ECU so it need to be replaced to fix the problem. |
you know where i can get a new ecu....a friend told me it was a p28 ecu.
