Default WHERE is ECU chip In Acura RL(3.5)?

Could someone please tell me where to find the ECU chip in my car? My CEL has been on for some time (I've gone to AutoZone and had the reading...my EGR flow is insufficient). I would like to re-set the light, but can't find the chip. The books I have tell me it's on the front passenger side in the foot well, but nothing there that looks like a chip...I appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks

Just pull your negative bettery terminal for a few minutes, save yourself the work.

It will probably come back though.

fix the problem first

the chip is in the ecu. but like said earlier, disconnect your battery or pull the ecu fuse in the underhood fusebox.

The ECU is the metal "box" bolted to the side of the car in that footwell. It won't just be a chip hanging out under the carpet, lol.
