trouble code P1457

Default trouble code P1457

yea this is the troublecode that is making my engine light come on P1457 leak in canister area, I am having a hard time figuring this one out?

Mine went off the other night but it was a p1456 (near the rear/gas tank/ damn faulty gas cap I need a new one) not a p1457. I'm at work so I can't check my helm's but check the canister for any lose connections or hoses.

OK, on a Civic, the canister & valves would probably be located differently while the overall concept of the system is the same. The actual details of testing would be different, so don't take the wire numbers or the real specific details. You should actually get your hands on the Helm repair book for your car & look at the corresponding section for specific info.

i had the same deal and my problem was the PCV hose had come out of the grommet. Sorry for old post response.
