LSD swap between tranny's?
im not sure if it will or not are they both hydro and if so im going to say yeah probaly. i know u can take the internals outa hydro and put em in a cable tranny with type-r lsd. i dont see why not as long as both are b series trans
i dont think it can. the c4 is equivalent to the usdm b18c1. and from looking around, quaife has two different part numbers for lsds for y21 and s80 trannies. assuming the s9b tranny you named is similar to the s80. :dunno:

like i said i dont know if you can or not, but i have seen the internals form hydro in cable housings with modifications to the case of course, so i would like to know also for my info if it does fit. anyone else.??
The B18c4 is a DOHC VTEC 175bhp......its a hydro tranny too.
It is like a B18c only w/o the high compression, double valve springs, less aggressive cam profile and differant intake manifold.
Its found in the 1.8vti 5door civics in the uk.........from 1998 onwards it comes with a LSD in the S9B tranny.
The Y21 is just out of the 1994 civic vti with a b16a2.

Im not to sure tbh, however the s9b has the same ratios and FD as the Y21.
quaife wouldnt have two different part numbers for the trannies for no good reason. leading me to believe there is a size difference somewhere inside the case that wont allow you to use that lsd in the y21 tranny.
