Default 5k rpm rev cut? HONDATA h22 turbo

I'm getting a rev cut/limiter at about 5200 rpm. There is no cut in neutral. I'm using a hondata s300. I'm sure I'm getting sufficent fuel. We tried disabling pretty much everything. We checked ALL the setting- Rev limit was set to 8k, boost setting was plenty high. launch setting was disabled, we tried disabling v-tec, we disabled fuel and ignition cut offs, I'm probably forgetting some of the setting, but we went through all of them and tried everything. I have a 3-bar map,550cc inc.,walboro 255 fuel pump. It was consistent 5200 every time and didnt matter what gear. So any ideas would be greatly appriciated. thanks Oh I think I have a bad timing belt tensioner, its squelling. I'm not sure if that could be part of the problem?

Are you running OEM ignition system? Are you POSITIVE there is no launch control or setup? Be sure you re-enabled vtec.

I'm running msd wires other than that its stock ignition, but I already had it tuned at 14psi and it was fine, but i cant even get back to that point. Yea we tried v-tec on and off. Since it was running good at 14 psi I had replaced the head gasket put a walboro 255 fuel pump in and now I'm having this problem. We had our A/F pretty good on the dyno so I dont think it was because it was to rich or anything? We completly disabled all the launch settings that we could find

How about fuel pressure? Did this start immediatly following your pump installation? Might use a fuel pressure gauge to check, I think its supposed to rise as vtec engauges. I'm not too sure what else to suggest. Good luck!
